"I'm not entirely sure where to begin, but I'm a first time home buyer moving from a different state. My wife and I were looking to buy our first home and didn't have a clue what we were getting ourselves into... Here are just a couple of reasons why I will never use a different real estate agent in my entire life: First, Lisa treated us like family. It was abundantly evident that she only wanted what was best for my wife and I and that garnered a tremendous amount of trust with me. She knew our budget and criteria well, and when we would ask to see a house we saw pictures of online, if she knew it wasn't right for us, or had glaring issues that we couldn't possibly have known, she would tell us right away so we didn't waste our precious time on the weekends. When we did go to see houses (we saw probably 10-12), it was like she had X-ray vision. Her attention to detail astounded me and I learned so much just by talking to her during showings. She took the time to explain complicated things in simple terms so that even a first time home buyer could make sense of complicated matters including radon levels, signs of water damage, the disadvantages of overhead power lines, window pricing, how taxes are done in IL (I had no idea IL paid Taxes in Arrears - or even what that meant at the beginning of this process), and so many other things. Secondly, We had SO many questions for her. My wife and I would be up talking about the houses we saw that day and whether or not we would want to put an offer in with all of the knowledge we had. We would frequently call or text Lisa well past business hours which we felt bad for, but in this market we had to act fast... I think Lisa knew this because her average response time was about 15 seconds before we had the answer to any of our questions. I could not be more grateful for her beyond positive attitude, superb response time, and general demeanor. I would recommend that everybody in the continental United States use Lisa Koonce as their agent. I was honestly pretty scared at the beginning of this process, but Lisa made it fun, and I always felt like I had the necessary information to set up my family for a good life.
